Kaiser Diet Plan – How To Lose 10 Pounds In 3 Day?

Today I want to show a pretty entertaining diet plan that I found last night. Last night, as my girlfriend was digging around her kitchen cabinets searching for a baking recipe, she came across a seemingly very old suggestion for a diet. She gave it to me to check out and share with the rest of you. The first thing I noticed was that the paper was pretty torn up and it looks like it could have been written on a typewriter. The other thing that caught my eye was that it was recommended from Kaiser Permanente, a very large managed care organization. So this must be all true, right?This plan is titled: Lose 10 Pounds in 3 Days. I have always been told to steer clear from anything that seems like a quick and easy method to lose weight, it just doesn’t seem right. Since this got me interested, I checked out all of the food items that were included in this diet. Check out the entire thing below:

Day 1

  • Breakfast: 1/2 grapefruit, 2 tbs. peanut butter, 1 slice toast
  • Lunch: 1/2 cup tuna, 1 slice toast, a coffee/tea
  • Dinner: 3 ozs. meat, 1 cup green beans, 1 cup beets, 1 small apple, 1 cup vanilla ice cream

Day 2

  • Breakfast: 1/2 banana, 1 egg, 1 slice toast
  • Lunch: 1 cup cottage cheese, 5 saltine crackers
  • Dinner: 2 hot dogs, 1 cup broccoli, 1/2 cup carrots, 1/2 banana, 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream

Day 3

  • Breakfast: 1 hard boiled egg, 1 slice toast
  • Lunch: 1 oz. cheddar cheese, 5 saltine crackers, 1 small apple
  • Dinner: 1 cup tuna, 1 cup beets, 1 cup cauliflower, 1/2 cantaloupe, 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream

Kaiser says that with this diet, you lose 10 pounds so quickly because this food pattern will cause a chemical breakdown in your system. They say it’s proven to work, so there shouldn’t be any substitutions from anything on the diet plan. They say you can do this plan four times in one month, but not consecutively. Either way, this plan, along with many others out there, just sound really fishy. It just doesn’t seem naturally healthy to lose up to 40 pounds in one month!I’m going to do a little more research on the topic of “chemical breakdowns” with food in the digestive system. I have never heard of this concept before, but maybe it really is a magical combination that can effectively allow us to lose weight in a quick and healthy manner.     I have also done this diet multiple time with more success some times more than others. I have found that its a difficult diet for me since a few items on there are not to my liking. I thought I’d share with you something new I tried that is very similar to this diet but you can eat a bit more variety than in this diet. It’s called HCG Fusion drops sold at costconfor $40. Give them a try everyone…I have lost 30 lbs since mid October when I started. I even lost during the holidays by sticking to it all the days except the major ones…anywho let me know if anyone of you tries it and how you do.

    How do you take the drops? Do they make you feel nervous or anything? What do you eat when you are on these drops? Please let me know because I really, really want to get rid of all this weight.

    Maria,
    I am sorry…dont know what happened. It sure doesn’t make sense. The diets consists of 3 phases: Phase 1 -> it’s 2 days of loading your body with high fat foods in order to prepare your body to begin phase 2 -> 28 days. You take 10 to 12 drops of the HF-30 drops(name of dorps) 3 times a day 15 minutes before each meal. This phase does not allow to eat breakfast only lunch and dinner. I have found that eat dinner at 6:30 maybe 7 o clock the latest helps a lot in the weight lost. The product comes with a protocol when you purchase it which tells you what you may eat in pahses 2 & 3. Phase 3 is 21 days which is to stabelize your weight loss. If you do everything to a t you should have a succesfull weight loss.

    Can anyone tell me if you are able to eat the foods “throughout” the day instead of “all at once.” For instance, instead of eating all the breakfast foods at one time can you break it up and eat breakfast and then a snack in between before lunch? It says to get results you have to follow to specifically so I just wasn’t sure. Thanks all!

    No, you cannot break up the foods. You have to eat the meals as they are listed… no saving items for later. The only thing I think you may be able to do is have the ice cream later like a snack, but not even sure about that. Normally you will be too full after the dinner menu to eat ice cream right then, soyou might want to save it for later. My boss has done this diet once a week and lost 47 lbs. in about 2 1/2 months (but that is only 30 days of actual dieting total in the 10 weeks. He did lose the most the first time (10.5 lbs.)and then lost 5-7 lbs. each time after that. Sometimes he gained weight before the next week while on his “off days”, and sometimes he stayed the same and didn’t gain, depending on if he splurged too much/drank cocktails/desserts, etc. When you are off the diet you may gane a couple or so pounds but you do lose them again. I think it is a great kickstart for a healthy diet, but wouldn’t want to do this long term personally. You are only supposed to do this short term, as it really isn’t a balanced diet. But it definitely works and I am doing it right now. This is my second try after trying it once a couple months ag,o and losing 5 lbs. But I did drink a cocktail or wine so I am sure I could have lost more if I would have followed it perfectly. That is what I am doing this time. The nice thing is that it is only 3 days, so you know you can psyche yourself to do it for that short of time, and when you see results, you will want to do it a few more times, depending on how much you have to lose.

    I’ve done this diet twice an each time I lost close to 40lbs it is the only effective diet for me
    It is tough but do able but you cannot switch anything or spead the food out each meal has to be together
    An you can not have no gum or breath mints to help with the hunger…..an only water except for
    What the diet says
    Keep to it an it will work.

    Hi im hearing great success with hcg i am interested to try it out but need some help i dont know where the best place to get it from or best deals also what kind i hear theres different forms to take hcg is one more effective than another? I do need to lose 40lbs im 180lbs 5’4 im also type 1 diabetic but heard it was ok do take hcg anyone please what should i expect? and any info will be greatly appreciated, thank you!

    I am going to start this program tommorrow, 1/15/2012, I will check back in a month to tinform you about my progress. I need to lose 20 pounds. I have a close friend who lost 62 pounds with this diet, so when I asked her, she gave me the information, I checked it out and here I am. Ok girls, here I go, wish me luck.   • So…does that mean you cannot have any sort of sweetener on your grapefruit or anything? And beets? Really? That is so disgusting! LOL Are we talking like beets in a can? Or what? And 3oz of meat…are we talking lean meats? Or does it not matter? I don’t see how this even works…it would be cool if it did and you could KEEP it off though.

    All I can say is the diet do work and like it says don’t skip any meals or subsute I lost 7lbs in 3 days and in order to keep the weight off you have to change your regular diet to a low carb, fat, sugar diet and incorporate some kind of workout 5 days a week you will be happy you did.

    Hello everyone I have completed the 3 day diet several times. I lost 4 pounds the first time and lost 6 pounds the next. It could have been that I drank more water. This diet may sound a little off, but it works and its up to you to maintain your weigh once you stop.

    My plan is to keep on doing this diet with a day or two break in between. I need and want to get rid of lots of pounds and if this diet keeps on working I’ll keep on doing it.

    Hi Maritsa,

    This diet works and it’s not too hard to keep since you only do it 3 days at a time. I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of this but….the heavier you are the faster you lose the first 8 to 10 pounds. I lost 7 the first 3 days took a break of 1 day and started again I was only able to keep it for 2 days because I got a SUPER craving for JUNK food needless to say I didn’t lose any weight the second time around however I didn’t gain so that’s good today I’m going to do a Herbalife shake for breakfast and Herbalife protein bar for lunch and for dinner I’m going to eat a frozen dinner (Smart-One).
    My plan is to get on it again on Tuesday.
    *Remember we didn’t gain the weight in 3 days so we need to be realistic and know that it won’t come off in 3 days…right? lol

    Ive done this diet once in a while since I was 20 years old, Im 47 now!! Well, since I started drinking beer again, I gained 25lbs. Im normally 130 and I weigh !57.

    Started the 3 day diet, I lost 4lbs the first 24 hours! This always works for me when I want to lose some. I cant afford the Jenny Craig/Weight Watchers. Im half way thru it. I just feel alittle LIGHT HEADED right now. I couldnt sleep real good last night either. been a while since I been on this one.

    But it WORKS and I LOVE IT! Im hoping to be the 10lbs lighter by Thursday Morning!!!

    This works great for me…two years ago I used to weigh 296 nd currently at 233…so I know it works for a fact….as for the ice cream, I make it into a shake with whatever fruit u have ready at dinner…just an idea for u all

    Hello,

    My name is MonaLisa and I have lost 7 pounds in one week. To answer your questions:

    1. How am I suppose to know what’s 3oz and 1oz are?
    Answer: You must get a food scale (very inexpensive $10.00-$15.00) and weigh your food before
    you cook it. (try Walmarts or Targets, they are small scales).

    2. Do I cook these veggies? or eat them raw?
    Answer: You can eat the veggies raw or steam them, I prefer to eat them raw.

    3. What kind of toast?
    Answer: Always eat Whole Wheat Bread, any kind you like, but 100% Whole Wheat.

    4. Coffee/tea with no sugar, milk or honey?
    Answer: Drink decaffeinated coffee and teas, preferably Herbal teas, no milk or honey, but you can
    use Splenda or any sugar substitute.

    5. Fat free Vanilla Ice Cream? what kind should I get?
    Answer: Buy regular Vanilla Ice Cream, you need the fat, since we do not eat a lot of fat from this
    diet.

    6. Do I cook the egg or eat it raw?
    Answer: Always cook your eggs, boiled, or poached.

    7. I hate cottage cheese..any alternatives?
    Answer: Sorry, no substitutes on this diet. Please, eat the diet the way it states, this causes
    “CHEMICAL BREAKDOWN” so that the weight loss is rapid “and healthy”. NO SUBSTITUTES!!!

    8. 2 hot dogs with no bun?
    Answer: Right, you need the protein (the hot dogs) not the carbs and grains (bread).

    This is the only way to lose the 10 in one week with exercise and at least 80oz of water.
