Kaiser Diet Plan – How To Lose 10 Pounds In 3 Day?
Today I want to show a pretty entertaining diet plan that I found last night. Last night, as my girlfriend was digging around her kitchen cabinets searching for a baking recipe, she came across a seemingly very old suggestion for a diet. She gave it to me to check out and share with the rest of you. The first thing I noticed was that the paper was pretty torn up and it looks like it could have been written on a typewriter. The other thing that caught my eye was that it was recommended from Kaiser Permanente, a very large managed care organization. So this must be all true, right?This plan is titled: Lose 10 Pounds in 3 Days. I have always been told to steer clear from anything that seems like a quick and easy method to lose weight, it just doesn’t seem right. Since this got me interested, I checked out all of the food items that were included in this diet. Check out the entire thing below:
Day 1
- Breakfast: 1/2 grapefruit, 2 tbs. peanut butter, 1 slice toast
- Lunch: 1/2 cup tuna, 1 slice toast, a coffee/tea
- Dinner: 3 ozs. meat, 1 cup green beans, 1 cup beets, 1 small apple, 1 cup vanilla ice cream
Day 2
- Breakfast: 1/2 banana, 1 egg, 1 slice toast
- Lunch: 1 cup cottage cheese, 5 saltine crackers
- Dinner: 2 hot dogs, 1 cup broccoli, 1/2 cup carrots, 1/2 banana, 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream
Day 3
- Breakfast: 1 hard boiled egg, 1 slice toast
- Lunch: 1 oz. cheddar cheese, 5 saltine crackers, 1 small apple
- Dinner: 1 cup tuna, 1 cup beets, 1 cup cauliflower, 1/2 cantaloupe, 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream
Kaiser says that with this diet, you lose 10 pounds so quickly because this food pattern will cause a chemical breakdown in your system. They say it’s proven to work, so there shouldn’t be any substitutions from anything on the diet plan. They say you can do this plan four times in one month, but not consecutively. Either way, this plan, along with many others out there, just sound really fishy. It just doesn’t seem naturally healthy to lose up to 40 pounds in one month!I’m going to do a little more research on the topic of “chemical breakdowns” with food in the digestive system. I have never heard of this concept before, but maybe it really is a magical combination that can effectively allow us to lose weight in a quick and healthy manner. do i have to excerise on this diet? cause i feel like i don’t have enough energy with what I’m eating these foods

after the 3 days can i go back to eating different healthy foods without gaining weight back?
Hi ladies…..altho far from an expert in this, will give you what has worked for me….Erika, I have read on other sites about this diet that some have used lemon juice, salt and pepper on the tuna if that would help……personally I would substitute 1 hard boiled egg for the 1/2 cup and 2 for the 1 cup of tuna……Christy, I take vitamins, exercising I feel is an individual choice…….am going to try this myself again tomorrow….do find it is after the first day that I personally lose the bulk of my weight…..my advice, water, water, water and more water…..I average 12-14 glasses per day not to mention herbal teas……after the 3 days, healthy eating, do not over eat and continue drinking water…the most I have ever “gained” back is like .2 of a lb. and that was after having a really bad day…..hope this helps!
Does it matter what time you eat the stuff? I find I need to spread the foods out and some of it is too much for one sitting, especially dinner!
Can you add lime and hot sauce to the tuna?
I tried this diet 3 years ago and have been looking for another copy. It does work. I did not substitute anything. I lost 7 1/2 pounds the first time. I did walk some but mostly cut back.
When they say Hot dog does that mean with the bread also or just the Wiener..?
Do a lot more than is needed. Is there a distance between somebody that achieves their dreams consistently and those who spend their lives and careers merely following? The extra mile.
There is no time for cut-and-dried monotony. There is time for work. And time for love. That leaves not one other time!
Is there a subsitute for the cantaloupe, I am allergic to it but I would like to try this diet.
Just finished day 3 and I can honestly tell the difference. It is a very disciplined diet but just keep your eye on the prize. I have to admit I almost upchucked with the beets and tuna but overall not bad. Im weighing in tomorrow so we’ll see. Trader Joes has cooked beets in the refrigerated section in an air tight bag so no can taste which helps. My cousin is a runner and does this diet pretty often. She swears by it and I see the results.
This diet works not loose 40 pounds in a month,but u slim down after a while, I lost 60 pounds no jk it took me 3 months
It works I have a friend that was on the same diet from kaiser. She lost all her baby weight. Do the diet for the 3 days then continue on ur other diet for the other days. As far as water it’s good for you drink ur 8 glasses
I not only do this diet to lose weight but to eliminate mucus. It is a cleansing also.
All I can say is that, I personally was very skeptical about this at first a few years ago. But believe it or not, I religiously stuck to it for a month & lost 12-14 lbs! I know it says, lose 10 lbs in 3 days, but it works differently with every individual. In a span of 3 months, I went from a size 38 to a size “loose” 33-34 in pant size, I literally had to get a new wardrobe! For you ladies out there, that means a totally new excuse to “go shopping”…lol But on the serious side, I was not in great health, I abhored exercise (I got tired easily due to weight), and was busy w/ everyday life. Here’s the God honest truth coming from me…I went from a fat a*s ( no insult intended) 217 lbds to an almost “feathery” 173 lbs!! So try it, and yes, IT WILL BE DIFFICULT when you start the first week, but eventually IT WILL!!
With this diet ur only suppose to season with salt and pepper nothing else. It’s not wise to substitute anything in this diet. Although there are other versions without the hotdogs it’s replaced with 3 oz of meat. As always of course excersing is great for the mind and body and so is lots of water or a 0 calorie drink. As for the other 4 days youjust need to watch what you eat try to stick to a 1200 calorie diet or continue your other diet that your on.
The cantaloupe can be substituted for a small apple.
Doesn’t matter what time you eat and no bread with the hot dog Jason just the wiener lol

Can the tuna be substituted?
Is it really a HALF of a cantelope? Is it a typo and really means a 1/2 cup of cantelope? Half of a cantelope just seems like a lot so I’d like to confirm. Thank you.
I don’t know if anybody has this problem but BOY do I….I’m a junk food eater and for some reason the last 3 years or 4 years of my life I’ve hit bottom. Can anyone tell me how to climb out of this horrible down-spiral? I’m desperate and I’m scare my health is going to start hurting from it.
if any of you know the secret of how to STOP this please, please, please let me know.

This really works! I lost exactly 10 pounds in 3 days!!! I did it 3 weeks ago; I gained about 2 pounds back, but it was because I have been eating fast food and way too much. I am on my second run with the diet; I am on day 3 today. I take vitamins, don’t really excerise other than normal daily stuff like house cleaning. I did not substitute anything, but I did add salt and pepper to most of the stuff. I drank only clear water, nothing else except for the tea on day 2. (I added sweet n low to the tea). My coworker did it last week and she lost 9.6 pounds, and she is only about 20 pounds overweight. It really worked for her. She is doing it again now and is on day 2 today. The weight loss shows and I recommend it!

Thank you to everyone for all the I information and your personal experiences. My 21st birthday is in one week so I decided to try this diet and tomorrow is my first day. My sister is a wrestler so I will be working out with her. Can’t wait to see the results.
Is there anything else besides hard boiled eggs that can substitute tuna? And anything that can substitute cottage cheese =\ lol I still eat it but half way I’m about to gag. I did this last week and lost 9 lbs, I’m so happy although I did gained back 2 lbs I’m still doing it!! Totally recommended it
